***APPLY HERE*** for ALL UW Madison Campus Children's Centers

UW-Madison
Campus Children's Centers
Waiting List Instructions

1. New Applications
2. Renewal Applications

NOTE: BEFORE YOU COMPLETE THIS FORM, PLEASE VISIT EACH CENTER'S WEBSITE AND/OR TOUR THE SITE SO YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH SCHEDULE OPTIONS, FEES, FACILITY, CLASSROOMS, ENROLLMENT POLICIES, ETC.

Please use this form to apply to ANY of the UW-Madison Campus Children's Centers once you have decided what programs best fit your needs. Each of the campus centers is a unique program with different missions, philosophies, schedules, curriculums, etc.

Once your application is submitted, it will stay on file through December 31, 2016. You will receive an email in December asking you to renew your application for 2017. Families will be contacted as spaces are available at each of the campus centers. This application does not guarantee enrollment to a center.

Application Fees:

(Application fees are non-refundable)

* $25/per center: Initial application fee PER center you apply for

* $10/center: RENEWAL fee. All 2015 applications expired on December 31, 2015 and the renewal period has now closed. If you wish to get back on any list, you will need to submit a NEW application to any program that you did not renew.

STEPS TO NEW APPLICATION ($25/center)

1. Visit campus center's websites to determine which campus program(s) you would like to apply.

2. Contact director for any questions or to schedule a tour and learn about their application process.

3. Get your credit card ready BEFORE you click on the application link. A credit card is required for payment.

4. To begin application process, click "Apply Now" button below. You will create a password for your new account. You may log back into this account to make changes to your application information. REMEMBER YOUR PASSWORD!

5. PLEASE NOTE: MOST campus programs do their Fall enrollment between January and March each year. If you are applying after that time period, your application will stay on file through the end of the year in the event that they have any remaining openings or if any openings arise. Keep in mind that families that apply this year (and don't get in), will be higher up on the list for next year (except at the UW Preschool Lab that does a lottery system each year).

STEPS TO RENEW YOUR APPLICATION ($10/center)

The renewal period (for renewing 2015 applications) has now closed. If you would like to get back on any list that you did not renew, you may log back into your account and add any program for $25/center.

UW Family Child Care Network

UW Family Child Care Network

Family child care providers care for children in their home and can be certified, licensed, and/or accredited. Family Child Care providers can either serve a wide range of ages (birth - school age) or they may target a specific age group (infant/toddlers or preschool).

Satellite Family Child Care works with the accredited family child care providers to serve all families in the Madison area, but can specifically find a provider to serve UW-Madison families (UW Family Child Care Network).

To find the list of accredited family child care providers, please visit http://satellitefcc.com/members.html. From there, you can also access the referral request form by clicking on "Find Child Care" towards the top of the page.

To learn more about Satellite Family Child Care, please visit their homepage at http://satellitefcc.com/index.html.

OCCFR coordinates the early education/child care and family support system on campus in response to the needs of UW families. The UW children's centers operate on or close to campus and provide priority enrollment to UW faculty, staff and student parents while fulfilling the greater teaching, research and outreach mission of UW.

Campus centers must fulfill UW-System G38 policy, including state licensing and national accreditation standards. Each center complies with hundreds of standards relating to safety, physical space, staff supervision and training, curriculum, administration and program. We encourage all families to visit UW's early education programs and talk personally with the respective directors.

You are encouraged to contact the campus centers to find the program that is best suited to you and your child's needs. Each campus program is unique in its size and scope of services. You may also contact the Parent Resource Specialist at 265-9123 with any questions or for a personal referral.

* Please know that all campus centers have access to ongoing professional consultation regarding special needs including child development, mental health or family concerns. Consultation services are arranged as requested. Contact your program director or the Parent Resource Specialist at 265-9123 for information.
